Turns out my professor broke his foot after he fell off an eighteen foot cliff. he should be getting a cast next week! As for my research, I have gotten a new bag of sand which has not been screen washed. This means that the various sizes of sand have not been separated. So far I have found TONS of little fossils! I found a small mammal jaw bone yesterday, I wonder what I'll find today!

I spent most today grinding up rocks with the most scientific tool ever; a mortar and pestle. I will be grinding up  close to 80 different rock samples. I am so excited to get this done!

Here is a little time lapse video of uncovering a turtle. It took me 2 weeks and hours upon hours to edit this video. Enjoy!

Yesterday Proff. Burger and I hiked up a mountain one meter at a time in order to get samples. It took all day, but was awesome in the end!
